I just wanted some advice on choosing a receiver for a home theater and wanted some opinions/experiences with the hardware. I currently have a 65"mitsubishi widescreen TV with an Energy encore speaker system. The room is 15 ft deep and 20 ft wide. Standard 8 ft ceilings. I want to stay in the $500 range (but naturally, the less expensive the better) and have narrowed it down to the following:

    Onkyo 601
    HK AVR325
    Marantz 4300
    Denon 1803

I'm running everything off of a sony str-de945 but would like a more quality receiver and to upgrade to component outputs. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

my vote is for the HK. the HK525 is coming down in price and is available under $600. you might be able to get a refurb for less than $500 and they are a great deal. which ever HK you get you will be happy.
