I trying to find a good AV reciever for 300 or less. It doesn't have to be state of the art with features as I place sound quality over that.

    I'm leaning sofar toward....

    H/K avr135 249.00 - 269.00

    STR-DE598 150.00

    Sony TRDE898 278.00

    Onkyo TX-SR503 299.00

    Pioneer VSX-815 279.00

Just to give you an idea, I'm currently running a Sony STR DE835/45 and they sound adequate for my needs.

Is the JVC RX-D201/202 comparable to the Panasonic SA-XR55?
Fry's appears to be selling the JVC for 150.00

The JVC rates pretty poor where the Panasonics get glowing praise from owners.

Go with the Onkyo, I have had two different Onkyo's and have loved them both. SQ is one of the best that I've had (comparing to Yamaha/HK/Denon)
