I need to put together some Halloween party music.

Here are some things that popped into my head, but I need more suggestions...It doesn't have to be explicity Halloween, but at least dark, spooky...fit the mood. Humor is not mandatory.

I Put a Spell on You
Monster Mash
anything from the 'Nightmare Before Christmas' soundtrack
anything from the Disney 'Haunted Mansion' CD
Paint it Black
Sympathy for the Devil
Werewolves of London

Hmmm, I know some spooky cuts from TMBG, but I can't remember the names...I can find those.

I'm sure there is some good Oingo Boingo stuff but I'm not an expert.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dinner with Drac - ? Zacherle
Experiment in Terror - Henry Mancini
Spooky - Classics IV
Anything from the Ed Wood Story Soundtrack

Last weekend I had Crimson blaring in the car and my girlfriend clutched her ears and cried, "Dear God, turn that down!" :emoji_thumbsup:
Crimson rules.
Anyway...
Goblin Girl- Frank Zappa
pretty much anything from Slayer, Death, et al.
And, of course, Black Sabbath

There was actually a compilation CD from DCC called Monster Mash that alternated classic rock and roll horror-themed novelty songs with adds for classic monster movies. Here's the line-up:

1. Monster Mash - Bobby Pickett
2. Haunted Strangler
3. Bo Meets the Monster - Bo Diddley
4. I Was a Teenage Frankenstein/Blood of Dracula
5. Midnight Stroll - The Revels
6. Frankenstein of '59 - Buchanan & Goodman
7. Frankenstein's Den - Hollywood Flames
8. Horror of Dracula
9. Screamin' Ball (At Dracula Hall) - Duponts
10. I Was a Teenage Werewolf
11. Werewolf - Five Man Electrical Band
12. Mummy
13. Haunted House - Johnny Fuller
14. Black Sunday
15. Feast of the Mau Mau - Screamin' Jay Hawkins
16. Amazing Colossal Man
17. Witch Queen of New Orleans - Redbone
18. 4D Man
19. Castin' My Spell - Marci Lee
20. Thing That Couldn't Die
21. Green Slime
22. She-Creature/It Conquered the World
23. Li'l Red Riding Hood - Sam the Sham & the Pharaohs
24. Astro Zombies
25. I Ain't Superstitious - Howlin' Wolf
26. Frankenstein Returns, Pt. 2 - Buchanan & Goodman
27. Morgus the Magnificent - Dr. John
28. King Kong
29. Purple People Eater - Sheb Wooley

It's one of the few DCC titles I still see around from time to time in stores.

every halloween i wallow in misery because of the fact that i can no longer attend one of my annual halloween rituals:
attending OINGO-BOINGO's halloween concert
so, in honor of them, i decree any song from the 'dead man's party' album a viable candidate.
obviously the title track gets dibs!

Try Mr. Bungle first two songs on their self titled album. "Quote Unquote" and "Slowly Growing Deaf".

Iced Earth's latest album has a whole theme about horror flicks. Haven't gotten it yet, though. Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper probably have a wealth of material that fit.

Here's the track list I came up with for a similar comp of my own. I wasn't really interested in the cheesy Halloween tracks like monster mash. Probably won't be a lot of help since I doubt that you have much (if any) of these releases in your collection.

1 O Fortuna-From Carmina Burana-Performed by the
Boston Pops, John Williams conductor
2 Love Never Dies, Part 1-Apoptygma Berzerk
3 Witches-Switchblade Symphony
4 Black Day-Abney Park
5 Mysterium-Clan Of Xymox
6 Rosemary’s Baby-Hecates Angels
7 Are You Gone?-The Cranes
8 Gargoyles-Vigil (via Chip B)
9 Iron Gate-Alphaville
10 The Host of Seraphim-Dead Can Dance
11 The Passion And The Fury-Autumn Tears
12 Inoa Ole-The Creatures
13 Ascension Day-Alphaville
14 Blood Countess-Untotoen
15 Witches Revolt-Noisex
16 Requiem-VNV Nation
17 Martin-Soft Cell

Here is the tracklist of another Halloween comp from a buddy that was created by combing mine, his, and those of a few other music trading pals.

1. Numb - Portishead
2. Everyday is Halloween- Ministry
3. I'm Your Boogie Man - White Zombie
4. Trouble's Braids - Tom Waits
5. Ribcage Mambo - Frenchy
6. To the Bridge - Cat People Soundtrack
7. The Exorcist Theme - Mike Oldfield
8. Gargoyles - Vigil
9. A Fistful of Terror - The Bomboras
10. Werewolf - Southern Culture on the Skids
11. Love Never Dies Part 1 -Apoptygma Berzerk
12. Red Right Hand - Nick Cave
13. Blackday - Abney Park
14. Are You Gone - Cranes
15. The Downward Spiral - NIN
16. Requiem - VNV Nation

Can't find the track list for the one we did last year.

might wanna check out the new murderdolls cd. the entire disc is devoted to everything macabre and murderous. also, if you are planning to use "i put a spell on you" i would suggest using the marilyn manson cover version. also, manson does a nice and eery cover of "suicide is painless"
