A few friends and myself are doing an internet show where we test three drinks per episode and rate them. We have shot the third episode and will be shooting the fourth this coming Saturday.

Unique drinks are appreciated and make the testing fun!

I don't know what Blu thinks of that Peter, but I think it's a great idea, for me.
I've got all this Vodka I almost never touch and there's always Orange Juice here.
Can you loan me a cup of Galliano?

My sister gets really angry about the way every imaginable cocktail is called a "martini" nowadays, despite being made with chocolate liquer or pistachios or whatever. In a search for the apotheosis of this concept, we devised the "Hiroshima Martini" : three fingers of Curacao in a martini glass, and a whole stewed tomato!

For a non-alcoholic concept (horrors!), try the "designated driver", which is my name for an equal mixture of orange juice and seltzer with crushed ice. It's quite enjoyable.

Jim Beam and Fresca, a cherry and a little cherry juice is optional. It is called a Frisky. I usually drink it sans cherrys but it makes a nice tropical drink when added

Try a "Dark and Stormy". It's made with Goslings Black Seal Rum and Ginger Beer. 2oz of the rum to 8 oz of quality ginger beer over ice in a tall glass. Great drink and pretty trendy right now in my area. It was all the rage at the beach clubs on Cape Cod this summer.

Edit: I see there are some recipes out there that say to substitute any dark or spiced rum. DON'T!!! The original was made with Goslings and a substitution would not be the same drink, being that Goslings is very, very dark.

A French 75 (named after the artillery piece).

Crushed ice
1 1/2 ounces dry gin
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon superfine sugar
6 ounces chilled champagne

Half-fill a 14-ounce Collins glass with crushed ice. Pour in the gin and lemon juice and stir in the sugar. Pour in the champagne.

I've always been curious about this:

Ron Howard: Do I smell vodka and wheatgrass?
Homer: It's called a "lawnmower."

I believe I would have a very very difficult time convincing Chianti and Weezy to try this drink!

I can recall a party - several years ago - where the girly drink was a "Dirty Clover". In a shot glass, Midori melon liqueur (for the bright green) and then 'float' Bailey's Irish cream. Drink entire shot at once. Sort of a throw to the back of your throat, don't sip.

Drinkbusters 1x3 is up.

The drinks we tested were the Chocolate Martini, The Hemingway Hammer, and the Laid Back Jack!

I believe these are some very good drink ideas and will make for good tests!!!!
Thanks for the ideas and keep them coming!

Peter got lost on the way to my house so I bought my own Galliano. Actually made one for breakfast last week. Well, it had OJ.
Very tasty.

Just now I made a double.
Be careful if you take a long walk in the upper 90s heat while drinking this. In particular don't surf HTF and then find yourself in the "My Bacon Number" thread.
You'll just be frustrated at your poor choice of reading material.

Mark,
So sorry...guess I don't have to tell you I was TUI (Typing Under...) when .....
well.
Also I forgot to use the special [nomarkhastings]....[/nomarkhastings] HTML so you would not be offended.

Just an all around disaster. Again, sorry.
