I have a chance to pick up a B&K AV5000II 5ch amp in mint condition for $700.00. It is about a year old. I have Klipsch Forte IIs and KLF c-7 up front. Has anyone tried this B&K or a similar B&K product with Klipsch speakers or any other type speakers. I would like to know how it sounded for 2 ch music as well as movies. Any info would be helpful. The AV5000II is rated at 125wpc x 5
    Thanks
    Mark

    Mark,
Im using a B&K reference 4420 amp with Klipsch KG4.2's, it puts out 200 watts/channel and it sounds great.
    Go for it.

I've own the Forte' speakers and the C-7 center in my system and added a Rotel 1095 amp just over a year ago and listened to the B&K line before I purchased the Rotel. B&K sound great but if you shop around the web you can find some great buys on the Acurus line at this time. You can find new and slightly used 5x200wpc@8ohm amps and their 3 channel and two channel stereo amps. Check out www.ubid.com or e-bay or www.audiogon.com . Good luck!
