Need advice for new projector! (1 Viewer)

Hi all!

I am looking to upgrade my current projector with a more up-to-date one.

I am currently using an InFocus IN78.

It is ceiling mounted at 2.3 meters (7.5 feet) and the projected screen is 5 meters away (16.4 feet). There is a window located at the back of my room, where low levels of light are able to reach the projected screen.

My budget is roughly $2,000.

I'll be using it for playing video games, watching movies, occasional TV and using it as an extended computer screen.

I am preferably looking for a 3D/4K projector.

Would i also have to upgrade my screen to a better quality one?

I am completely new to all this and any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What size image?As for screen, what do you have now? (Typically screens are fine for 4k, as long as it isn't some piece of crap at 1080P anyway)

The width of my current image is 220 cm (86 inches or 7.2 feet) and the height is 124 cm (48 inches or 4 feet).

I have space to get an image size of 120 inches if needed.

My screen is second hand which, after some thought, I think I will change. There is a rip at the bottom which looks like it will get worse over time. Plus whichever screen I purchase will probably depend on the projector I purchase right?
