    Hi all..

I picked up eas baseball 2002 for xbox and it is ok. I don't like the fact that you can see the ball placement when batting, makes it to easy. So is there any other recommendations out there for a good baseball game?

    Thanks
    R~

EA is redisgning there Triple Play series so much that they changed the name to MVP, I think. So you can wait until that comes out.

All-Star Baseball 2003 is $12 used at EB (15 new). I haven't played any baseball game on the Xbox, but I'm a baseball fan so I'm interested as well.

Personally, baseball is done for the year, so I'll wait until the new ones come out in a few months

Rhett: You're looking for High Heat Baseball. No batting cursor and sim-like gameplay. I think they're making it for Xbox this year (High Heat 2004), but it was not available last year. Should come out in February.

    I highly recommend it.

With 6 baseball games available for the Xbox this year, it really is going to be a tough decision of what to buy. We have the following:

    All-Star Baseball 2004
    High Heat Baseball 2004
    MLB Slugfest 20-04
    MVP Baseball 2003
    World Series Baseball 2K3
    MLB Inside Pitch

If I pick up High Heat, it'll be the PC version so I can d/l updated rosters, updated uniforms/stadiums, etc. I liked WSB last year so I'll probably pick up this year's version and I'm looking forward to picking up MVP Baseball this year with all the changes that EA has made, so it looks like I'll be getting 3 of the 6 available.

My father like World Series Baseball by Sega for Xbox. He hates the Triple Play Series, as do most of my friends.

High Heat is supposed to be a good sim kind of baseball game, but we couldn't get into the last version that was on PS2. Maybe this years will be better.

Any of the going to have online play? I assumed Sega's would, but there's no mention of it anywhere that I can see.

I really don't get why everyone is so enamored with WSB 2K3... I hated that game. I consider myself a baseball purist and that game had so many problems it was a joke. I wanted to like the game because the franchise mode was slightly intriguing.

If you're looking for a good sim game that allows you to tweak it to the more "arcadey" side, HH 2004 is the way to go. Fortunately, HH 2004 will feature a career mode this year.

I'm glad High Heat is coming out for Xbox this year becasue I've seen the movies from WSB2K3 and it look like all the problems the original WSB had the new one still has. I'll rent it first to confirm this. HH 2003 for Ps2 while graphically not state of the Art was the best playing and most realistic BB game last year

I Don't think they'll be more than one online BB Game this year. Online BB is a trick thing because of timing issues. THe Dreamcast version of WSB had online and it was terrible. Never could play a game. Broadband would probably help, but none of the major titles will offer online this year, which is a shame I'd love to play online over the headset.
