I have an 18v 1/2" Makita which I love, great drill. The switch is hanging up on me at times (at least that what I think the problem is).

Anyone have a decent online parts company they can recommend?

Ron, Harbor Freight is all I use.

15436 GOLDEN WEST ST.

Harbor Freight

They have an online store, but for a specific part, why not just go in? Lots of goodies there.

Is the 18v really that necessary for hanging pictures around the house? :)

What's the model on that beast?

Looks like they don't sell parts Zen, just tools. The model# is 6343D.

I did find toolpartsdirect.com. Anyone deal with this company?

You should know better Zen, one can never have enough power...

Looks as if I used them in June of 03 for a shop vac switch of some kind. No red flags.

Hmm, what switch is hanging up. Rotation lever? speed?

Got it Zen.

My dad pulled through. He has a Makita that needed service so he went to the Makita service center in La Mirada to drop his off and pick up my part today. $31 and change, not bad for a drill that cost over $330 and has given me no grief up until now and it's 6+ years old.
