I'll have to throw in my two cents here since I recently purchased some axioms. I bought the M3Ti's and a Vp100 (planning on the QS surrounds later) and I have to say they sound awesome. My wife and I were both surprised and happy with how clean and clear they sound. There's so much detail we could never hear before in my giant Cerwin Vega towers. For a reference, my other favorite bookselves would be the Boston Acoustics CR75. I spent a good amount of time auditioning speakers to pick out that set for my parents. they've had those for a year and we all absolutely love them. but the axioms have impressed me even more if that's possible. the only thing that the bostons have that the axioms don't is some really low mid bass but a sub takes care of that anyway.
very good off axis responce, I've had them for a few years, good value on the ceramic and wood ones ($850 shipped). they do look strange, but for some reason the women don't seem to mind their look(go figure).
