Looks like there is going to be a National Geographic: Behind the Movie: Return of the King coming out on 12-16-03.

I'm not going to fall for this again, it'll just be in the Return of the King gift set. I'll wait until then!

If this is truly the case, then what gets me is if they even had an INKLING about doing this, then why didn't they do one for The Two Towers as well?

Well, for the most part, the bulk of Two Towers happens in just a few locations. There is a good deal more traveling done in Fellowship and ROTK. So that's probably why.

I also think that Two Towers will have "middle child" syndrome. It won't be treated as well as Fellowship has been for being so groundbreaking, and it won't be treated as well as ROTK probably will be for wrapping up the story. It's just there, in the middle.

Don't get me wrong, I love Two Towers, in some ways more than Fellowship.
