Essential purchase, one of the three films I always watch each Christmas (love the cover).

The other two are White Christmas (4k disc please), and The Snowman (Raymond Briggs who sadly passed away on 9 August).

Now if they would only fix and release the original "National Lampoon's Vacation" on 4K, that would be awesome!

Are you talking about the frames that jump during the shower scene? That was on the DVD. Did this mistake get ported over to the BluRay too?

There's also the soundtrack replacements, but I don't know if they were talking about that.

Sorry to hear about Raymond Briggs. He was a genius. If I'm in just the proper mood, The Snowman film always makes my eyes tear up, in a happy way. The sequel, The Snowman and The Snowdog is good (and I enjoy it), but it will always live in the shadow of the original. Howard Blake's music is wonderfully ethereal, transcendent without being religious.

Man, I used to live next to the Griswolds. Seriously. The people in the house next to my childhood home, they’d turn on their Christmas display and all of the lights in the neighborhood would flicker or fade out for a moment from how much power they were drawing. I think my dad asked them once and they said it was $500 a month extra on their electric bill - in the early 90s!

Not just the soundtrack replacement issue, but there's so much judder throughout the movie that it's almost unwatchable.
