Today, Nate and Hayes.
Following the smashing success of Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) at the box office, it was no surprise that Hollywood looked for the next big thing when it came to the adventure genre. Paramount Pictures though that they could ride the wave of their own success when they brought Nate and Hayes (AKA Savage Islands) to the screen two years later. Kino has licensed the movie for its Blu-ray debut here.

I haven't thought about this feature in a long, long time. I either saw it theatrically, or on cable and I don't recall which is the case.

Basically, this is a fun, rousing adventure that never takes itself too seriously. I may have to purchase this blu-ray at least partly for nostalgia.
