For some reason, I caught the Daytona 500 qualifying on T.V. last weekend. I dunno why I was watching it, other than to say to myself "this would be awesome in H.D." Anyways...

Some "reporter" was interviewing Mark Martin, who drives the Viagra car. At some point in the track side interview, this statement was made by the reporter "Your car was handling a little FLACCID out there. It looks like you had a handful."

Is it just me, or is was this a semi-obvious semi-subliminal advertising message? Was the guy just trying to be funny? Is it just my dirty mind? I've just never heard a poor-handling car referred as "flaccid".

bah...just a reporter trying to be funny.

with a sponsor like viagra, it's no question you're gonna get some sexually covert humor.

btw, i just saw a commercial for another version of viagra. don't remember the name, but the slogan was pretty good:

"when the time comes, will you be ready?"

These pharamaceuticals must have a bigger advertising budget than Coke or Pepsi. Actually getting macho sports stars to claim they need sexual assistance must cost some $$$.... especially Ditka - what a riot.

"Da BEARS !" just doesn't have the same ring to it anymore...
