I'm about to but cables for my PSB Image speakers, and I'm wondering what you guys consider to be really good cables for them. If money was no object, what would be the top three choices (top three coz I only have limited choices where I live)

    Thanks!

sound king 12 gauge. take the money you save, get some dvd's, pizza and maybe a 1/4 keg of a local microbrew and invite some friends over.

Just a question, will you run these wires in the walls, ceiling, or anywhere else that you'll need UL certified stuff? If not, then check these out.
http://www.heartlandcables.com/ might be an option to although they are not a "money is no object" kind of place. 11 guage Canare Wire might be worth a look though even if they don't kill you on the price. They look nice, although I haven't heard them (yes, I know Chu, wire is wire is wire.) Some say the wires make a difference, others don't. The value is in the eye of the beholder, but these look nice, look well made, and should work for up to about a 50' run.
Straight wire Rhapsody S (hey, if you want to burn cash, here's one way to do it :) http://www.audioadvisor.com/store/pr...ble%20-%20Pair
Or, if you really want to mortgage the house, check out the Cardas Golden Reference http://www.audioadvisor.com/store/pr...e% 20-%20Pair which cost more than some folk's car for a normal sized HT set-up.

    John,

I forgot about Tara Labs - good stuff!

    Harry,

Cardas Crosslink is good for their entry level cable. If you can move up to Quadlink I recommend it. I had this before the Golden Reference and it was good value for money.

I have had good results with Nordost. Currently evaluating a JR design from RhinoCables.com and they are keepers. Boldercables.com and DiyCable.com sell this JR CC design. Using Canare 4S11 for the surrounds.

One small correction, you are buying cables for your system....not your speakers. Everything plugged together must work in concert.

I use a pair of BetterCables for my audio only rig and I have some custon made IXOS for my Home Theater rig.

I can recommend either with personal experience to back it up. You may find success with many others as well.

Keep in mind that recommendations (or dismissals) without personal experience is like someone giving you directions that just arrived in town themselves.

    Good luck!

    Mike

Just what is it that you're looking for Ryan and what are you presently using? You seem to be bouncing around a bit.

    Chu Gai,

I just bought PSB Image 2B's and the New Alpha Center. I was wondering what would be good but not extravagantly priced cables that I could use for them. I was only worried about my surrounds since they would be needing a good length of a wire.
