For the previous round:

Jack Nicholson in Chinatown
Yaphet Kotto in Midnight Run
Woody Harrelson in Wag the Dog?
George Clooney in Out of Sight
Pat Hingle in The Grifters
Kumar Pallana in Bottle Rocket
Somebody in Scarface
Martin Balsam in The Taking of Pelham One Two Three
Morgan Woodward in Cool Hand Luke

Background shot is from The Usual Suspects?

As for the current round, has the Vincent Schiavelli shot been positively identified yet???
I'm 99% sure on what the background shot is. :)

Bill wins the previous round and remains undefeated.

Every film in the current round except for the background shot has been correctly identified at least once in the thread.

I'm gonna get laughed out of here for this, but I'm guessing Eraser for the background tape library...
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha... Eraser... ha ha ha ha.

You asked for it. :D :D :D

You. Are. A. Machine.

Bill McA remains the screenshot naming king.

I'll post the last round that I currently have created in about an hour. I'm not sure if I'll do any more after that because a) it takes a while to make these images, b) I'm kicking off a "Who would win in a fight" tournament that will eat up some of my time, and c) this tournament probably needs to be restructured in a way that encourages more involvement - don't know how yet.

By all means, if anyone else wants to make up some images and continue the contest, go for it.

I use PowerDVD on my computer. You just press the screenshot button when you've got the film paused at the shot you want. Then I downloaded an evaluation copy of Paint Shop Pro (good for 20 free uses). I resized and sharpened the images to make them fit where I wanted them. Then I used the selection tool to cut out the portion of the image that I wanted. Copy it and paste it as a new layer on the background image and move it wherever you want. When finished, merge all the layers and save it as a .jpg. The hardest part is tweaking the edges of the selection. As you can see in some of the shots, I wasn't always very careful about getting this exactly right. :)

Final round (for now)

It's a bloodbath! The horror! The horror!
