OK...I leave the house to pick up a pizza...and in the 30 minutes that I'm gone, my son "finds" another stray dog. He claims that he found it on my front porch "looking in the window." OK...now I live out in the country, and find it kinda unlikely that sooo many stray, uncollared, adorable puppies JUST happen to find their way to MY house. (This never happens to my neighbors.)
Anyway, THIS one is about 3-months old, male, golden lab/retriever mix (I think). Has the "red fox" hair, black eyes, black nose, thick coat, HUGE paws. Too cute for words. Immediately flips on back to have tummy rubbed. Gets along great with my other 3 dogs, (of course). After several attempts to "shoo" it home, it keeps coming back like it was born here. (Yes, it put it's nose up against the glass windows and everything.) None of the neighbors know who it belongs to.
Soooo, now I need a name. (I've gotta call it something, even if the owner does eventually show up.) My other dogs have movie-themed names (Nikita, Nova, Dante). I don't have a photo yet to post, but think "big, reddish-coat, dark eyes, floppy ears" with cuddly behavior.
My co-workers and I have been to the "Zillion Dog Names" website (below), but still haven't found a name that "fits". I was thinking something like "Redford" or "Bogart"...I dunno.
Any suggestions from the movie-buffs???? :)

My cat is named "Marty" after Mr. Scorsese, of course.
Unfortunately I don't know if it really fits him. He has shown no tendencies for great storytelling, character development, nor has he the ability to demonstrate an exhaustive knowledge of film history. :)

Moses.

Did you put an ad in the paper, call the local Humane Society and the pound? Check that it doesn't have the microchip? I'd do all that before taking it in. There could be someone out there looking for it.

If he looks in your window, you could call him "Stalker."

Or how about "Moochie", since he apparently adopted your house.

Just, whatever you do, don't name him "Yeller."
