I got into the HT world not to long ago. I only recently heard of NAD. I might give them a shot w/ this one. It's 6.1 and is 60 wpc, which is exactly the power I'm looking for. I don't know much about NAD, other than what I've read. There are no dealers anywhere near me, so I would have to order it online. I've pretty much heard nothing but good things about NAD in general, though. Anyone have any idea if this receiver would sound good w/ ascend accoustics speakers? Any other receiver that you'd recommend that is comparable in power and features? Any better receivers for the price?

One more question. Is there any way I can get a NAD receiver from an authorized dealer online, or do I have to actually go to a store somewhere?

    www.spearitsound.com

now they will sell restocks, refurbs, and limited quantity items...

in your price range, which is arond $800 or so for this receiver brand new im guessing, are the following receivers:

Yamaha 2400 (has a ton more features)
    H&K 630, 7200 (for closer to $1000)
    Denon 3803
    Onkyo 801
    Marantz 7300, 7400

Compared to all of these, the Yamaha has a ton more features...

The NAD is arguably the best 2 channel of these.
