I am trying to find out some information/details about the NAD T562 Progressive DVD Player. I would like to know the following:

    - Is this player available for sale in North America yet?
If so, then what is the price?

    - Is this player's design based upon a Marantz progressive DVD player?
(similar to the NAD T571 being built upon the Marantz VC5200)

    - What progressive deinterlacer chipset does the T562 use?
(Does it use the same chip as the T571/Marantz VC5200 - the Mediamatics chip?)

    - Does this player/chip have the Chroma Bug?

the answer to the first one is no.

the answers to the others are i dont know.

i can also say that the T562 (at least the fact sheet that NAD had at the Hometheater Expo in NYC) did not have DVD-A.

NAD doesn't disclose what chipd they are using for video processing.

For what its worth, im betting this DVD player goes for about $600. No actual clue though.
