New episode after several weeks. Seeing things explode is always fun.

The old west myths were interesting. I was impressed with Grant's motor-driven fanner.

They've actually been showing new episodes since October 11th. Been really good ones too.

Somewhat surprising results of the concrete glider build off. Nice to see Adam win one for a change.

There's an interesting article on the NY Times website that is worth reading: The Best Science Show on Television?

One thing about the article reminded me of this thread. Back on the first page, a few people were commenting on the apparent animosity between Jamie and Adam. Remembering that discussion, I found this passage quite interesting.

Did anyone happen to catch the latest episode? I loved the result of the 'bullet fusion' at the end. I was also surprised that the backwards bullet ended up being confirmed. This show never ceases to amaze me.

So true! I thought the backwards bullet was going to be impossible to replicate and I thought the sniper myth was going to be an easy confirm. Hmmm, once again, TOTALLY wrong!

So who else let out a juvenile snicker when Physics Bob said to Kari, "...and magnetism is what's holding up your top." :b

Hands smacking and Zombie dog? No wonder you missed the magnetism line....I think you were watching a different show.

He was. There were 2 new episodes of Mythbusters this last Wednesday night. Their regular episode ends with Adam suggesting a Holiday special which led into the next episode: Holiday Mythbusters.

That Zombie Dog was equal parts goofy and creepy with a good measure of horror thrown in when it met its untimely end.

Okay, I am hoping someone can help me with my dirty mind on the tree needles experiment.

Kari's face was clashing with her hair when she was talking about "Santa's Little Helper" or "Daddy's Little Helper" or "Mommy's little helper."

The little blue pill, was that a Viagra or other such pill?

I watched both episodes. :)

Speaking of which, anyone else disappointed with their Rube Goldberg machine? Besides the now getting old, mentos and diet coke, it just didn't seem all that special compared to some of the other stuff they have created on the show.

Anyone know which ones they worked on for commercials? The only commercial that comes to mind is that mindblowing Honda commercial from a few years back with the machine made completely out of the car that was stripped apart. But I just checked their portfolio and while Honda is on there, that commercial isn't.

Yeah I know that one, but Adam mentioned that they had worked on other Rube Goldberg machines in the past for commercials. I couldn't come up with any.
