I have a Klipsch Synergy 12 that likes to move across the floor (concrete) when it plays deep bass in music or explosive type material in movies.

I'm sure I could come up with an ingenius method to control this issue (including buying a heavier sub) but if anyone has any experience... I'd like to hear your solution.

Yes, this is my first post but I hope to be a regular here. I've graduated from car audio and I seem to have hit my first snag in home theater... should have gotten a better sub.

Have you considered putting rubber stick-on feet at the four bottom corners? If your subwoofer didn't come with it's own set you should be able to find them at Home Depot.

The sub did come with the rubber feet and I did use them. I've considered the rubber cups for furniture (sofa/chairs) that would let the legs of the sub enclosure sit inside of them and limit any movement. The weight of the sub seems like it would still be an issue unless I glued the cups to the floor first.

I'm still trying different subwoofer locations at this point though.

I had read something here about building a sand filled step up off the floor for a subwoofer. I believe that was for sound quality but if I anchored my enclosure to something like that and in turn anchored that to the floor...

Too much?

You could try putting a throw rug under it with carpet spikes spikes...You may even notice a difference in quality of the bass this way. The rug would absorb some of the immediate bass rather than reflecting it like the concrete does.
