My QUEST QS 10 subwoofer (10" woofer, 150 watt) quite yesterday after almost 3 years of service. The sub emits a loud noise when switched on. I opened the back panel and it seems one of the capacitors is bulging at one end and is also wobbly compared to the other one.

Any ideas? How expensive are capacitors and is this somethind a DIY'er can fix at home OR is it time for a new subwoofer?

Thanks in advance for your response and suggestions.

Hopefully the cap didn't fry anything else when it crapped out (when they bulge they let out their charge all at once and can fry surrounding components.. I had this happen to me on a video card). If just the cap is dead and you know what you're doing you can probably just replace it with an identical cap.
