That was better, Chris. I hope the FBI has already knocked on his door and picked him up. Heck, he can't live that far away from their HQ.

I remember being shown the Zeffirelli version of Romeo & Juliet (rated G, I believe) in my freshman year of high school (late 80s). The teacher stopped the tape and fast-forwarded through the nude scene.

I remember having to get written permission at our school (but we saw the entire film).

It would have been shown if it were a 'regular' or a 'slow' news day, but she seemed to dominate everything - again. I heard it before the verdict went out.

Dennis - the nailgun article was a riot! If he did really think that he put the safety on then it was an accident, albeit a very stupid one. The teacher's was on purpose - preplanned, premeditated, and all that stuff.

And the million dollar bill? What an idiot, but I could see some tellers not knowing any better.

Back in high school... we watched R-rated films all the time (because it was a Catholic school, in "morality" classes, we watched lots of films and wrote papers on them). The teacher would first ask if anyone didn't want to watch and if so, would assign them an alternate assignment (although I never saw this happen).

    Some of the films...
    Good Will Hunting
    Boys Don't Cry
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
    Monty Python's Life of Brian
Monty Python's Meaning of Life (okay, so I had an eccentric British teacher one semester [IMG] )

We watched Schindler's List in high school, parental permission was required. However they fast forwarded through the sex scene. Not stopped and fast forwarded though. Everyone got a good laugh out of that.

Wait a minute.. getting back to the original post:

    The article states:

So, it's okay to study the novel of Dracula, but heaven forbid you show the film to anybody? Particularly benign portions of the film. [IMG]

Me 2. I remember wanting to watch the full version later because Olivia Hussey was a hottie.

Did they ever find out how that Passion Guy got a copy of the movie?
