None of that pansy drip drip stuff, we're talkin a full pressure damn-near rip your skin off experience.

Showerheads are kind of like guns. They come with piss-poor pressure(or semi-automatic)but you can modify them(depending on how pricey they are) by either making the holes bigger or removing a plastic piece from the inside to allow for more water pressure. But it's probably illegal! Anyone else try this?

THEY'LL HAVE TO PRY MY FULLY AUTOMATIC SHOWERHEAD FROM MY COLD WET HANDS!(or more precisely my shower)

I don't think removing the plastic piece inside the head would be illegal. At least I don't know of any laws regarding them. They're simply water saving devices...

It really depends to on your town's water supply.. We can crappy water pressure where I live, I could plug every hole but one and I think it would still drip out.

Wasn't there a Seinfeld episode where Kramer orders a showerhead from Bulgaria or something for this same reason?

Waterpik Cascadia (completely overhauled, removed restrictor etc.)

Two factory settings, gentle rain and 3rd degree burn. I love it. Showerheads are just about as important as HT.

Funny, I remember this praising comment from a group of girls at 3 am in the middle of a Waffle House. For different reasons obviously.

There's no settings... just rain. I think you have the higher-end head, personally, Zen (does that lady come with? [IMG] ).

I grew up in an old house with an enormous shower head. So, when I move into a new place.. the first thing I change are the shower heads.

The one in my dorm is amazing. Its just like a basic showerhead, but the jet is just so strong, shampoo washes out so nicely... Nothing fancy schmancy with settings and flexible arms and whatnot... this is like, a prison's showerhead lol...

The one at home isnt even one third as powerful as the one here...

On your higher end showerheads, is there generally a piece referred to as the "restrictor?" I've always purchased a specific cheap plastic showerhead that allows me to drill out the center for unrestricted waterflow. I'd spring for a deluxe model with more features if I knew I could get the same pressure. Every nice one I've seen has been metal, which isn't conducive to drilling.

In fact, I've had a problem the last few years because my new apartment has its own hot water tank -- in the winter months, I use so much hot water that I generally run out before I'm finished with all the washing. Oh well, it helps to get me out the door faster in the morning.

I knew I guy who worked with me at IBM who took a spare showerhead with him on the road. Whenever he stayed at a hotel, he would use a pair of plyers and swap out the showerhead for the next day and then swap it back before he checked out. He brought that white sealing tape along and everything.

    Yes...he was wierd.

I bring my own toilet seat...

    [IMG] Just kidding...

There is a showerhead with an adjustable off valve so you can simply turn the shower off (or reduce the pressure) from the showerhead rather than have to turn the faucets off. It is metal though but it's definitely not a "higher end" showerhead and can be found in the local hardware store.
