I have a Pioneer 515 DVD-player that has worked very well for the 3 years I have had it.
Today when I turned it on, my tv screen was almost filled with a bizarre on screen display: A white panel filled with a lot of black zeros. Like this:
    000000000000000000000
    000000000000000000000
    000000000000000000000
    000000000000000000000
    00000000000
I have tried turning off my player, and pulling the different cables, but the zeros are there when I turn it on again. It also comes out of my Panasonic projector. Sound is fine, and the part of the picture that I can see underneath the panel with the 0s seems to be fine. Now if I could only get rid of those damned zeros.
Has anyone experienced this, and do they know how to make it go away?

Unplug both units from the wall for a few seconds and see what happens.

Powering off isn't quite the same as unplugging [IMG]
