Ok, here's the rules: Vote based on disc quality and movie quality, but weight movie quality more in the event of a close match-up. The winner is the first to ten votes.
    First match-up:
    The Rock: Criterion
    vs
    Die Hard: Five Star Collection
On a side note, I'll have to give one disc a bye into the second round on account of having an odd number of discs. I'll probably give it to either T2:UE which would go up against Fast and the Furious or Meet The Parents which would go up against Ferris Bueller. Any suggestion as to which disc should receive the bye are welcomed.
Thanks, and let the voting begin!!![IMG]

I enjoy Die Hard a little more as a movie, but The Rock-Criterion Collection disc is so much better, I will give it my vote!

I think it's so much better as a movie, that for me, disc quality does not enter into it.

I'll vote for The Rock. Maybe I should make a tournament like that too. I have 66 DVDs, not a bad number for a tournament. [IMG]

My apologies, Mr. B. I of course know how your name is spelled (I do see it about 65 times a day), but force-of-habit overtook my typing digits.
The 2 weeks thing was a rather selfish comment, in that (as much as I LOVE these tournaments) I'm having a hell of a time keeping up with all of them!
I don't need to tell you that you can run a tourney whenever the heck you want.
Hey wait... Are we in a tourney now? Or is this the Quotes Thread? [IMG]

Okay, I've decided to change the rules a little bit to expedite things, it's now the best of ten votes, and we'll move on to best of fifteen in the event of a tie. Under the new rules, The Rock:CC moves on and Die Hard goes home.
Here's our next matchup, and it is a real doozy. Yes, I just used the word doozy. Yes, I'm comfortable with that.
    Seven: Platinum Series
    vs.
    Fight Club
