I wrote in another post that I got my 36" HDTV today.

Well i have a question about my old 20" JVC tv.

Well you have it on the blue screen.

The 2 upper corners are alittle darker then the rest of the screen.

Ive noticed you can see it more when the picture is a light color like white or yellow then when it is black.

    What causes this?

    Is it fixable?

Will a calibration help with this?

    Thanks

    Jeremy

    Greetings

This is usually caused by magnetic fields ... and may actually change in intensity given the direction you orient the TV in the house.

Fixable to some extent by reorienting the tV or by moving magnets around on the back of the Tube ... (not recommended.)

A professional calibrator will usually not touch this issue.

    Regards

Very true man, i opened up the manual for the tv and it told me to use the purity feature. It was said about megnetic fields. well problem is fixed.

I find it weird how moving your tv to different parts of your home could cause this but oh well.......better then havign internal problems, right?
