Just finished wiring my soon to be Home theater room (16' x 16') and picked up my new system yesterday. Here's what I settled on (due to budget constraints):

Denon 1905 7.1 receiver
Paradigm On-Wall Mini-Moniter fronts with matching Center CC-370 (for the wife)
Rears - Paradigm ADP 170's
Sub - Pardigm PDR 8

A couple of questions for the experts:
Am I going to be happy with this subwoofer in this combo?
Do you recommend pins/bananna plugs for speaker connections?
With only 1 set of surrounds (for now) do you recommend positioning them behind or beside the main listening area?
I know next to nothing about speaker settings (ie decibal and crossover levels).

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

It was a put together package price that came in originally about $400 over my budget, so I ended up going down from the Denon 2105 receiver and the 10" sub to meet budget. Bottom line is I don't know exactly where my salesperson trimmed pricing, just the final number we came up with. My educated guess is about $350 Canadian ?????

I think you can do better on the subwoofer, but everything else looks (sounds) like it will fit the bill. I think you would be better of in the subwoofer category with something like the Dayton 10" or, HSU STF-2, or Sony WMA500.
