    Hi everyone.
Well have got my oppo BDP93 bluray player, and am now looking to update my INFOCUS SCREENPLAY 7200 DLP PROJECTOR,which is still running perfectly, but can not get the best res on bluray due to dvi and not hdmi.
Am looking at possible 3D to lol
    Anyone got suggestions which projector.
Im looking at Mitisubishi HC4000 or Mitsubishi HC7800 3D though some otherbrands out there now,are making me confused.
As I have a lot of old black and white movies, cinemascope movies as well as my small collection of Bluray.
Looking at what will upgrade my reg dvds the best as well as bluray.
Any info, would be so welcome,as Im quite confused at present.
    Cheers
    Walter

If you haven't already done so, look here:

Art writes with authority and expertise. It appears that Epson and Panasonic are carrying the day for this gen of 3D projectors, with BenQ an option if you want to stick with DLP tech.

Not that I want to start something else...
But, since when does DVI not do 1080P if the final display is 1080P?

    Hi Everyone
Well i ended up going with the Mitsabushi HD9000 projector and with my oppo bluray player,Im blowin away.
2D is just out of this world for the most part. I do need to fine tune for some of the older dvds,so that I get a better picture, mmm adjusting some of the settings,But overall way better than my old faithful Infocus projector.
I watched THE AVENGERS in 3D last night and it was AWSOME. Picture is darker on 3d,even with extra light on bulb,But the effect was just amazing.
    I m screening this on a 100" screen 1.2 grain i think it is.
But will keep you posted, and will include the new pics of my cinema soon.
    Cheers to all
    Walter:P

Congrats. Did you calibrate the projector? If not, make sure to do that with a calibration disc. I recommend the Disney WOW disc.

S&M BD version trumps Disney WOW.

The S&M disc is very good, but it doesn't allow you to calibrate your audio. I have the S&M disc also. On their website, they explain how to use all the test patterns.
