NOTE: I have NOT installed the new firmware yet for this unit.
Wow. I may have a very serious problem with my 630. Out of nowhere, starting tonight, it's decided that it likes to shut itself from on to standby after 60-75 seconds. Max.
I even took the batteries out of the remote on the off chance that it was doing something.
I'm now going through the troubleshooting suggestions, starting with three minutes unplugged. If that doesn't work, a system reset. If that doesn't work, I'm screwed, I guess. Then I get to go through a nice hassle.
There haven't been any storms and the unit has been hooked up to a fully functional, good surge protector the entire time I've had it.
I hear it click in the unit and then a few seconds later, poof! You hear the normal clicking as it goes from on to standby. I get about 75 seconds before this happens.
I just did the 5 minutes unplugged, it's still there. So now I'm going to do a full system reset.
Ok, that didn't work either. I even plugged it in into the wall, without any surge protection, to test and see if there was anything wrong with the surge protection. Cut out in less than 75 seconds again. So, I guess I suddenly have a problem on my hands.
Any ideas what the hell this is?
P.S. I notice that the time it stays on seems to decrease with each effort. I'll stop doing it.
