I own a DVD player, a small 21 inch TV and a pair of Klipsch RF3's. I have a sony minisystem, and would like to upgrade. I do not think I can have surround sound, and good sound at a price I can afford. So I am asking about 2ch recievers. I am not old enough for a credit card, so I can't order on-line. Also, receivers are the only option were I live. (No integrated.) I have been looking around, and found that the HK 2ch has very little inputs. Are all the 2ch recievers like that? 1. Do they have A/V, and how many? 2. How do they compare in 2ch with 5.1recievers with the same 2ch specs? I want the BEST sound for my Klipsch.(for the $$$) I am wanting very strong bass, nice highs, and clean mids. No more then $500 CDN. ($299USD) I like the sound of the Onkyo 797 with the RF3's. I do find the bass a little weak however. (only a little) Inputs for DVD, CD, AUX are a must. I would like more. No NEED for component(I think Denon has that) but it would be nice. Thanks for any advice. I am not sure what to get.
