Can you believe I built an HT in the basement revolving around a DVD player of course, but I now have a LD player to join the ranks. My friend was about to throw out a Pioneer LD player he has had for atleast 10 years. I said NO. I'll take it. Granted it only has composite video out and analog audio, but I just purchased Star Wars Special Edition box set from 1997 and was ecstatic to watch this movie on the big screen. The picture was not as bad as I thought(after fiddling with the video processor for about an hour). Not as sharp as a DVD, but very tolerable. I have a whole new world to enjoy since many A movies are not on DVD yet. Plus used LD are very cheap.....
