As a single guy, I've been a user of internet personals on and off for the last several years. So far, everything has worked out great. Until last night. I responded to an add, and several hours later I recieved an instant message and began talking to her. Several red flags went up right away. Then as soon as she mentioned she was in Africa with no scheduled return date, I new it was a scam. I kept going, and sure enough she said she wanted to come see me, and asked me to send money for her flight. She claims she's in Lagos, Nigeria. I wanted to get her IP address, so I told her I had to leave and to send me an e-mail with all the info. She did, and it appears her IP address is in New York. The "originating-IP" listing on the e-mail must be the address it was sent from, right?? So how can I get this person in trouble?
