All,

I posted here about my endeavor of creating a kick tail entertainment center: http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htf/...d.php?t=245132

Now that I have narrowed down my AV receiver choice to the Yamaha HTR-5950 I would like to get some great speakers to go with them.

In the other thread there were some great suggestions made. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the SVS SBS-01 would really be a great deal for $1,000? And if I get them should I go with the PB10 or PB12?

What other speaker groups do you think I could enjoy?

Thanks.

Depends on room size and your budget. The SVS SBS-01 w/PB10 is what I have and I love it. For the price its awsome. Of course down the road who knows what speakers I'll be looking at when I make more of a dedicated HT space. Some others to look at; Aperion Audio, av123, Acsend Acoustics, Hsu. I would try and find people in your area that has some of these systems and audition them if you can. Auditioning is the most importent step in buying speakers.

My set up: Room size aprox. 15x13
Denon 2106
Oppo 971h
Sanyo Z4
SVS SBS-01 w/PB10
