I'm working on building my DIY screen and just thought I would share what I have found. I sampled several fabrics, everything from white blackout fabric to grey nylon sheets. What I actually found to be the best (and will be using for my screen) is silver satin fabric which I found at a local fabric store. The satin has two sides, a shiny side and a side that is a little more matte. The matte side is the one that I am using. It produces great contrast blacks and rich colors while still maintaining whites. If someone will tell me how to do so, I will attempt to post a couple of pics on here so that you can see my results.
