Its finally done, well or lets say I'm out of money. But any way I am no longer eating drywall mud and am watching movies in comfort.
I'm so glad to be to this point, See what you think!

Very nice. I would pick your theater over any local movie house any day. Thanks for sharing.
One question, how does the 2:35:1 aspect ratio work for you. Any problems with any other aspect ratio on this screen?

That is a really cool theater!..I too like the addition of the solar system..it's a nice subtle touch. Personally, I am not a huge fan of these "themed" theaters..some of them are a little ridiculous but yours has just enough to add a nice finishing touch!!! Did you design the theater yourself? How long did it take to build? Lastly what are the dimensions of your theater? Sitting distances?
    Happy Viewing!!

Thanks for the nice comments, The wife wasn't too sure about the Planets when I first told her about the Idea. But after I finished it she was very pleased with the way it turned out. I wanted the feel that the ceiling was cut open and you could see into space. I think it worked, but I do need some extra lighting pointed just on to the ceiling.

Yes, I did design it all myself, I posted my designs on this site well over two years ago. plus I did the framing, electrical, insulation, sheetrock, mudding. I did have someone install the HVAC duct and the carpet store installed the carpet! I did have a couple brothers that helped out here and there and my wife made the curtains.

I started construction back in March of 2001!

It is 12x24 with 7'9" ceiling. The front row is around 14ft and the rear row is about 20ft.
