My dang sister and her friend made a huge mess of my DVDs last night.

It looked like a tornado hit my DVD cabinet. The DVDs were strewn out everywhere on the floor of the living room. It took me a while to clean up the 300 DVDs. Afterwards I went over to her and asked how she pulled it off and she said she didn't know. I'm gonna have to make it so she can't use them for a while. Good thing none were outta the case though.

How old is your sister? The story takes on a whole different tone if your sister is 17 or 18 instead of an 8-year-old kid who doesn't know any better. [IMG]

On the other hand, you could look at it as an excuse to have a High Fidelity moment and re-order them. [IMG]

She and her friend are 12. She knows better. I'm gonna have to have a talk with her after her friend leaves.

I have all of my DVD's in portable DVD carriers (They look like photo albums), that way I can easily take them with me when I travel. The DVD cases are just for show.

They can be put away under lock and key quite easily. [IMG]
(And yes, they are in alphabetical order...) [IMG]

I still get flack from my fiancee from when I had my DVDs in order by studio. Now they're all in alphabetical order.

Whenever I make her mad, she threatens to take all the discs out of their cases, and put 'em back randomly. Mean streak in her, huh?

Do what I'm doing: Rip as many of your DVDs as possible onto your PC, and then put away the originals, hopefully never to touch them again.

Of course, you'll spend a bundle in storage space, but there's something to be said about having FOTR EE and LoA ready to be played with no need to change/flip discs halfway through [IMG]

I also keep mine in a big cd album in alphabetical order. I also keep the cases put away. Thats a great about burning them that way your original will always be in great condition.

Now if you just put your porn films out in the open, then your sister and her cronies wouldn't have to tear-ass through your whole collection to find them[IMG]

I think you should take her out into the alley and beat her up. [IMG]

Next time, just set up an invisible force field around your DVD collection that shocks everyone except you. I can see it now..."Let's see what kind of movies Stephen has for us to watch. OW!"

I told my sister last night that she better be more careful with my DVDs. She just brushed me off.

Sounds like your sis needs an object lesson in personal property.

Maybe you should strew about something of her's that she cares for.

Move your DVD's to your room and lock the door.

    Since she's 12, I wouldn't expect an apology til she's about 23.[IMG]
