There is almost no margin on PC's anyway, everything is in the accessories in the PC world. You are not cheating the customer by letting them know that they will enjoy their laptop more if they buy a seperate keyboard and mouse to use when they are at home. This is absoloutly true.

I would never want to work in the computer deaprtment because there are very few accessories that the customer actually needs, for the most part computers are complete units. It's not home theatre where you are actually doing a great service to the customer by offering things like quality cables, power supplies, and so on.

I agree on PSP's/PRP's - the price for LCD and DLP 4 year PSP's is up to $399.99 because it NOW COVERS THE LAMP! I bet a lot of people will be able to go thru a bulb in 4 years with the TV. People on some forum say they have killed bulbs in 6 months, and another by month 12!

Figure, a family with kids/parents has the TV on for what, 8 hours a day, 7 days a week. In 4 years, that is about 12,000 hours, and possible a few thousands on/off cycles.

in a true commisions sales world the sales person gets charged back for returns, it is his job to be sure the customer is happy with the purchase (our return rate was less than 1% all commision sales)BB and CC went to non commision because of their sales staff (I was told in an interview I couldn't work for BB because I was over qualified I knew more than the manager)
