Here are some good trivia questions that I devised today. Please post answers in spoiler tags! And don't cheat by using AllMusic, Google or other websites! This is supposed to be fun.

1. What do these songs have in common?
· Sinead O'Connor's "Nothing Compares 2 U"
· Prince's "Raspberry Beret"
· The Bangles' "Manic Monday"

2. Name the people the following John Lennon songs were directed at.
· "The Rishi Kesh Song"
· "Serve Yourself"
· "How Do You Sleep?"

3. "Sweet Home Alabama" was Lynyrd Skynyrd's response to two songs by Neil Young: "Southern Man" and _______________ ???

4. Name all of the professional baseball players referenced in The Simpsons' song "Talkin' Softball."

5. Where did the title of the R.E.M. song "What's the Frequency, Kenneth?" come from?

6. The following artists are famous for their original songs, and not cover songs. Name one cover song officially released by each of the following artists:
· Bob Dylan
· The Beatles
· Bruce Springsteen
· Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
· The Rolling Stones
· Nirvana
· Metallica
· Madonna
· Led Zeppelin
· The Eagles

7. Name an artist who has released an official cover for each of the 10 artists listed in question 6 plus the song that was covered.

8. The following songs all share a particular connection with one artist. Which artist is it?
· Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise"
· Michael Jackson's "Bad"
· R.E.M.'s "Stand"
· The Kinks' "Lola"
· The Police's "King of Pain"

Know any good ones?

1. All songs were written by Prince.
2. "Riki Kesh" (George Harrison), "Serve Yourself" (Bob Dylan), "How Do You Sleep?" (Paul McCartney)
4. Jeez...Strawberry, Mattingly, Conseco, Griffey...that's all I remember off the top of my head.
5. From the beating Dan Rather received from a group of teens who kept shouting "WtF, K?" over and over while kicking/punching him.
6. Bob Dylan - "Froggy Went A Courtin'"
The Beatles - "Words of Love"
Bruce Springsteen - "War"
Tom Petty - "So You Want to Be A Rock N' Roll Star"
Rolling Stones - "Time Is On My Side"
Nirvana - "The Man Who Sold the World"
Metallica - "Turn the Page"
Madonna - "American Pie"
Led Zeppelin - their entire catalog? ;) "The Girl I Got Has Long Black Wavy Hair"
Eagles - "Nightingale"
7. I'm not too sure on the question here. Are you asking to name a musician who covered the artists above, or the covers one mentions in question 6?
8. All were parodied by Weird Al Yankovic.
Great questions, Greg; had a lot of fun playing! :)
I'll be back later with some of my own trivia questions.
