And much a better version than the one starring Alfred Molina (whom I like) I recently saw on the tube, which was boring beyond belief.

This is one I can't wait for. The score by Richard Rodney Bennett is an absolute joy and seeing Ingrid Bergman one last time on the big screen is a real treat.

Murder wasn't Ingrid Bergman's last film appearance, the wonderful Autumn Sonata was, and A Woman Called Golda was her last TV performance.

OK, let me rephrase: It was the last time I saw her on the big screen. Actually, it was the only time I saw her on a big screen.

    Thanks for the correction.

Also, Anchor Bay recently lowered the price on it's Agatha Christie/EMI films. Now it possible to pick up Endless Night, The Mirror Crack'd, Death On The Nile, and Evil Under the Sun for under $10.

I guess it's up to Warner to put out Peter Ustinov's last theatrical turn as Poirot, Appointment with Death.

Just got Murder on the Orient Express and must say Paramount have provided an excellent DVD of this film. The newly remastered 5.1 soundtrack is wonderful (the DVD also includes the original mono track) and really showcases Richard Rodney Bennett's wonderful score. The 4 part documentary made by Laurent Bouzereau is also great and includes contributions from Sidney Lumet, Michael York, Jaqueline Bisset, Richard Rodney Bennett, producer John Brabourne and others. Good also to see that Paramount have retained the original artwork on the cover - something they don't often do.
