Hey folks,

Does anyone have a good Combo player they can recommend?

I am looking for a combo player that is region free DVD with NTSC/Pal playback, and also has a VHS in it. If the VHS can do the Pal to NTSC conversion as well that would be great but is not essential.

I can not deal with hacks or mods - it needs to work out of the box.

All my googling brought up was hacked/modded pieces. I am trying to put an equipment list together for a modern languages classroom, and although they have not requested it yet I think it would be a nice option to have, and if it is cheap enough it may just become our campus standard DVD player.

Any help would be appreciated.

If not a combo, how about a good DVD player that is region free, NTSC-Pal converting, and doesn't need a hack?

It doesn't need to be "great' it will probably be only set up with composite or S-video, but it does need to be a reliable unit (for classroom use).
