Multiregion DVD player advice needed (1 Viewer)

I want to buy a multiregion DVD player, but don't know which one I should buy? I live in the US and would use it to watch PAL DVDs and from I understand the cheaper models don't do a great job with the conversion. Do I have this right? I was thinking of buying the JVC XV-SA75GD. If I do, is there anything I have to do to the player to watch PAL DVDs? Is there another model that you can recommed? Thanks for any help you can give me.

The Malata 520 has XY scaling to compensate for overscan and the same PAL conversion chip

What Jeff is telling you is the best thing to do. The Malata is the best one out there for conversion.

I have a JVC & it has worked flawlessly. There are several threads in other Forums dealing with problems with Malatas.
