Has anyone compared the MTX SW2 12" 100-watt subwoofer selling at Parts Express for $199 against the Dayton 10" 100-watt subwoofer selling at Parts Express for $109?

    Here are the links on

I currently have the Dayton sub behind my listening position as a secondary sub. Its a great performer but I'm just wondering how much better the 12" MTX is and if its worth the extra $90. If so, I'll sell my Dayton and upgrade my secondary sub to the MTX. My primary sub, an HSU STF-2 is more than adequate (as the primary sub) for the time being.

I don't know if this counts for anything, but I was comparing those two subs just on specs and started to search these forums for more information. I think I found about 100 references to the dayton (all good) and about 2 for the MTX. Could just be a bandwagon effect, but I went with the dayton and am shocked that they can sell this sub for that price. If I were you, I'd probably use the "bird in the hand" approach?
