this is a shame really
another update why the animated series is delayed
So Columbia has the movies, Kevin Smith has the comics, and now MTV has the animated series.
Gee, more non-music programming on MTV!
Well, it's not like the "music" they'd be showing is that good anyway
here is an update on the MTV animated show from friday's http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stori...1/15/index.htm

comments from Bendis about the animation
exclusive animated spidey pics
Good lord, that's ugly.
And Bendis isn't writing it anymore? Pass.
It's already been said, but what's one more ugly comment?
I'm just curious to hear Flea do a voiceover.
What is it with animation today? I have noticed that Spidey in the comic books looks like a stick figure and now he looks that way in the animated series! I never knew Spidey was anorexic! This is ridiculous. I won't even pick up Spidey comics anymore because the artwork is so friggin awful. That Spiderman looks terrible. Give me the Fox cartoon anyday. Or Spiderman and His Amazing Friends from the early 80's for that matter.

Stan Lee is providing a guest-voice for MTV's Spider-Man animated series.
here is the link to a commercial
Why the hell does he look scrawny?
here is more about the animated series
I don't like the new style, but I'll give it a chance. It's on MTV, so it's going to suck anyway.
What's wrong with the style? Some of it almost reminds of Jinx/Fire/Goldfish.
It's too bad if Bendis is out, but his participation is hardly required to be a good show. I really like Bendis, but come on: I have seen great TV shows and read great comics -- none of which were created by Bendis.
And while I'd agree that MTV is a crappy channel, I'm not sure that I understand why the show will suck for being on it. Beavis and Butt-Head, Ren & Stimpy, Aeon Flux, The Maxx, Clone High -- all shown on MTV.
Hey, you don't think you like the style of animation. That's fine. I might not like it either. I'd suggest you wait until you can see an ep or two before deciding it looks bad, but that's your call.
But you mention Ren and Stimpy was on Nick first. And? You also mention that Spider-Man is a popular character. Why does this mean it will suck if shown on MTV?
