MS Teams (and maybe MS Office in general) on M-series Macs? (1 Viewer)

Asking for a friend who's trying to choose a new laptop and needs compatibility w/ MS Teams for his new job.

Anyone here w/ plenty of experience using MS Teams on Macs? From one Reddit discussion I saw, sounds like it might even work best on M-series Macs, but might be a RAM hog...

I just threw in MS Office in the title for good measure, haha... though I guess I'll find out for myself before too long now that I have a new M4 Pro MBP...

FYI, my friend's probably considering a new 15" M4 MB Air if/when they come out very soon (or just M3 one if it takes too long). He probably doesn't wanna spend the extra on MBP and probably doesn't need M4 Pro processing power... though better battery life is always desirable...

I have an MBP M3 and a Mac mini M4 - use the whole suite of Office on both, online and app version. Never had an issue personally.

Teams and Office work just fine. And yes they are ram hogs. Probably also the case on Intel too.

Is Teams any worse than Zoom on Macs? MS will de-support Skype on all platforms as of May this year.
