The cast of Mr. Show will be signing copies of the new Mr. Show DVD at the Virgin Megastore on June 11. You have to buy your dvd from Virgin (29.99), and they give you a wristband to get your autograph. There will be a Q&A with the cast after the signing. Should be neat!

Is there a one per customer limit? I'd pay someone double to take their spouse or SO along with them to get me a copy!

Just down the freeway (4.5 miles to be exact) at the Irvine Spectrum, CA. Stan Lee was doing a signing and I found out about it a day too late
Thanks for the heads up Marc.
Peace Out~:D

My wife's cousin is Karen Kilgariff. Her parents had a party a few weekends ago and I could of got a few for you.
She'll probably be at a wedding in August if you strike out
I doubt if bob & tom will show though.

BTW I asked her how much she was getting off reruns and the DVD.
HBO is non-union so not a penny,Boy does that suck!

I saw them at the Comic Con last year. Hard to believe it's already a year later and Run Ronnie Run is still in limbo!

Anyway, I wish I could go. Have fun, everyone.

I guess this is the "Mr. Show" thread for now, so let me just say that I was surprised to see this DVD on the shelf including the "sale" tag even at a national chain electronics dealer that ISN'T Circuit City. Indy folks can probably figure it out by elimination if they want to grab an early copy.

But I wonder if it's a local slip or a national one since it had the weekly sale tag on the shelf as well. Might be worth a look if you are in the place.

It's not a slip-up, because yesterday (6/4) was the official release date. ;) I picked mine up at Best Buy.

Thanks for this thread— I now have a copy of the DVD (awesome) and a wristband for next week!

The bad news — and I can't go into this any further — is that all indications point to New Line having sold "Run Ronnie Run" elsewhere. Where, I don't know.

I might have found someone to go for me. Can you guys tell me:

- Exactly which Virgin store (Hollywood? Which street?)
- Is it a limit of one per customer, or as many as you buy?
- What time is the signing going on?
- Can you buy a DVD ahead of time (like today) and get a valid wristband to come back for the signing?

Vince, I can answer three of your questions:

1.) It's the Virgin Megastore on Sunset Blvd, with the two cross-streets being Crescent Heights and Laurel. There's only one Virgin Megastore in Los Angeles proper (there's also one in Burbank).

2.) That I don't know. You can call, however-- try (323) 650-8666 for more details.

3.) The signing is at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, June 11.

4.) Yes, you can buy the DVD in advance to get a wristband. That's what I did.

this is not bad news. it's, well, good news ! new line obviously has no interest in releasing the movie, so finding a new home makes perfect sense. it's not unlike an artist asking to be "dropped" from his label, if he's not happy w/ promotion, money, etc. in any case, i hope we all get to see it- soon.
oh yeah, and the dvd is great! i can now safely free up about 6 hrs on my tivo :D ! and make sure you buy about 10 copies (they'll make great stocking stuffers!) to insure we see seasons 3 and 4...

Usually, there's a 2 items limit per person on signings at Virgin (and also Dave's Video).

When I went to the Stan Lee signing at Virgin (L.A.) a few weeks ago. The employees were telling us that Stan would only be signing one item per person and it had to be a copy of the Mutant's DVD. Well, after Stan showed up they said it was 2 items per person...whew!

Unfortunately the RRR page hasn't been updated since 4/25. I was hoping it would play at the Seattle International Film Festival, but alas it's not.

Despite not having a release date, RRR is still at the top of my list of movies to see this year (followed by The Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys and CQ).

Thanks in advance...

David Cross is performing tonight at House of Blues in Hollywood! The weird thing is, is that it's general admission. This is the first time I'll be standing for a comedy show.
