It makes me sad to think Mr Rogers is gone. :frowning: My mom loves to tell the story of me sitting in front of the TV watching "Neighborhood" and talking to him as he asked me how my day was.

Peace,

It's interesting, but I never really appreciated what Fred Rogers meant, until I had children of my own.

Today, I feel sad. I feel sad in my heart.

Godspeed Fred, I hope we meet again

It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood,
A beautiful day for a neighbor.
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?...

It's a neighborly day in this beauty wood,
A neighborly day for a beauty.
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?...

I've always wanted to have a neighbor just like you.
I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with you.

So, let's make the most of this beautiful day.
Since we're together we might as well say:
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?
Won't you please,
Won't you please?
Please won't you be my neighbor?

I remember there was an episode where the Town Of Make Believe was UPSIDE DOWN!!! It was probably the funniest episodes I had seen. For the full effect, I either had to turn my head upside down or the entire television set! Well, all the better for the evil Lady Elaine Fairchild to ruin a great television visit.

Looks like PBS had better find new voices for our beloved puppet characters.

Mr. Rogers the man has gone to another dimension. Mr. Rogers the legend has just begun to live. He will be missed.

His sweaters were a way of saying hi to his Mom. Don't get down. If he was here, he'd want us to have a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
