Greetings All,
This is probably a pretty basic question but I'm a newbie at creating dvd's and I want to get it right without wasting too much time. From searching these forums thus far I have learned that the preferred video format for burning a DVD is MPEG-2. However, my capture device and software is also capable of MPEG-4 and DivX encoding. My question is, if I encode my video to either MPEG-4 or DivX format and then burn it to a DVD+R, will it be readable by a standard (new) home DVD player. Thanks for any replies.
