So i just installed Mozilla FIREBIRD to see how well it runs... its running quite quickly (though i just did install 256 more megs of ram, so thats also somethin to be considered), however, the font is something thats bothering me:

The font of the program (toolbar, address bar text) just isnt doing it for me... i tried changing the font in the options, to no avail (it seems to change the fonts of the website, not the program).

This is the font that is being used in IE:

Any ideas on how to change it? its just too small and squished together, trying to read the list of bookmarks is a bit more difficult than IE on my 15" monitor at my high resolution setting.

Also somethin offtopic but computer related:
Since ihave 512 megs of ram, i wanna lower the page file on my HD, what shoudl i lower it to? Right now its at 2-200MB.

    Thanks in advance

Hmmm....you got me on that one. Try changing themes and see if that helps.

Wow this is odd... I updated my Nvidia drivers for my video card, and screwed around with my display settings, and now the font is the way i like it, the asme font as IE! Weird...

By the way, let me recommend the Skypilot Classic theme. It's gorgeous!

Where do you get these themes?

Do the themes work with BOTH Mozilla browsers?

Apparently the best place to get mozilla themes was DESKMOD.com, but they're temporarily shut down, and running with only a small portion of their website from what I understand, so the mozilla portion is not avilable.

However, i found this site: http://www.mozdev.org/redirect/themes/ from mozilla's website. There's only a small section for firebird themes, but Im sure Mozilla has a much larger selection.

Click on Nick's link above and the themes are alphabetized. Themes are specific to the version of Mozilla you're using, so there's a compatability key.

Skypilot Classic won best theme of the year or something like that from Netscape. It's compatible with Firebird and Mozilla 1.4. The direct link with some screenshots is at http://themes.mozdev.org/themes/skypilot.html
