Bonnie & Clyde
Branded To Kill
The Graduate
The Wild Bunch
Chinatown
Phantom Of The Paradise
Dog Day Afternoon

A few of these could do with just being retransferd {either cleaned up or made anamorphic} but some of crying out for supplements. A lot are Warner titles too! I can't believe they do two disc releases of Robin Hood and The Mission but not Bonnie And Clyde or Rebel Without A Cause!

My choices:

Superman II (with all of Richard Donner's unused footage)
Superman IV (a new, completed version of the original 134-minute cut)
Gone With the Wind (only THE quintessential film classic of all time deserves a new SE!)
Titanic (and the biggest moneymaker of ALL time deserves a good 3-disc or 4-disc SE a la LOTR with better bitrate and extensive behind-the-scenes production on the film!)
Hoffa (a very underrated film, well crafted by Danny DeVito)

Wizard of Oz (I'm talking a Snow White, Citizen Kane, North By Northwest, Sleeping Beauty style of transfer!)

Several Disney titles for 16x9 enhance (Rounders, Good Will Hunting, Dusk Til Dawn (ooooh Salma), English Patient, etc.)

Seven Samaurai (other Sleepy Beauty, Casablanca style of transfer)

The Truman Show
Boondock Saints
Goodfellas (when is the confirmed SE coming out?)
The Fifth Element (or you can buy a region free player and get the R2 version)
The Shawshank Redemption
Miracle Mile
Rain Man
Top Gun
The Killer and Hard Boiled (since God knows nobody can afford the now OOP criterions)
Heat
The Untouchables

I've held off on buying as many of those titles as possible because I'm a naive fool who believes that the respective studios will make 2+ disc special editions for all of them. :)

I thought of a few more movies that I think need a se release

Wyatt Earp (I really like this movie, and I think that it would be nice to have an extended edition as well, as it was availiable on LD)

Deep Impact ( I second the vote for a deep impact se! I really liked that movie and I would love to see an se with 16:9 widescreen, and the rumored deleted scenes)

1900 (I am a huge fan of De Niro and Bertolucci, and I would love to see this on dvd in its full 4.5 hour uncut version!)

TimeCop, Sudden Death, Twins, Kindergarten Cop, Lionheart, The Shadow, Happy Gilmore ( Please universal, please re-release these movies and the other fullscreen movies in widescreen!!! I don't even care if they are SE's, but please release them in widescreen!)

Titanic (I loved this movie and I would love to see and se with all of the deleted scenes!)

True Lies (Hey fox, what happened, where is this release!

I really hope that this is not just a fun post for people, i really hope that some of the studios are reading this and saying, hey, that sounds like a good idea:D I know that most studios love good feedback and if enough people ask, they will release it, so please keep posting!!!

Akira Kurosawa's Ran.

I remember seeing documentaries about some pretty bizarre stuff the crew had to put up with during the shoot (e.g. gearing up then waiting day after day for the perfect weather, Kurosawa deciding everyone should paint the grass a different shade of gold for a scene that ended up getting cut, etc.). Thus I know enough material exists out there to put some great DVD extras.

Also, I'd like a commentary by a knowledgeable film critic. Preferrably one better than the critic's commentary in the Seven Samurai special edition. At the very least I'd like a commentary with more discussion of his symbolism, use of sound, and anything that doesn't cross the cultural barriers.

The one and only Ran disk I've been able to find is sadly lacking in special features. Harrumph!

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

The transfer is full of video noise and lacks depth. The second disc also has mostly horrible special features that are too difficult to access.

I read in a Magazine that they will release a 6 hours cut of Titanic in 2000. Well, now it's 3 year past 2000, but maybe there's actually 3 extra hours of footage?
