    Hi all,

Wondering if anyone knows some good sites to buy movie posters.

Looking for full size (frameable) to finish off home theater.

Where can I find vintage posters other than ebay? also is there a vintage poster faq anywhere online so I know about the different proportions and don't get ripped off.

ONe other thing, on modern posters of the 27x44 size so should I have them mounted, dry mounted? with glue or vacuum pressed? should double sided be place between two plates of glass? should special glass or plexiglass be used to prevent fading? these are some thign si've been wondering about for while now... :p

    thanks

Allposters.com is pretty good, but I really like Posteritati.com. They have an awesome collection of rare posters and Japanese posters as well. One of my most recent purchases was one of a Japanese poster of 'Empire of the Sun'. Very cool!

I've had good experience with allposters.com. I had one poster arrive damaged and they shipped out a new one, no questions asked.

I've also had a good experience with allposters.com. I've ordered, oh...probably about 7 or 8 from them, and they've all come in perfect condition.

Oh yah...and now that I'm thinking about it. Anybody know anywhere to get cheap frames? I used to by mine for 20 bucks at Suncoast, but they don't carry them anymore. They are the kind that have black trim, and a pressboard back. They hold up really nice compared to the cardboard backed ones [IMG]

www.allposters.com is the biggest and best. I ordered the 3 Indiana Jones movies posters, and they arrived in packaging that a bomb couldn't have damaged. Never had any problems with them. First rate. I received the posters 2 days later. Fast service too.

Matt, I was going to Suncoast too. Stupid SOBs cut us off.

Anyway, Michaels and Hobby Lobby's are good places to start looking for inexpensive frames similar to what Suncoast was carrying.

Suncoast was also my favorite place for frames.. at $20 bucks it was hard to beat. I ordered frames from ShowOffDisplays and was disappointed to discover that they're $45 frame is pretty much exactly the same as Suncoast's $20 frame. There is literally minimal difference.

Before going to Showoffdisplays, I'd definitely hunt around for those $20 jobbers.
